Chartburst is a small operation ran by industry veterans and musicians with big ideas!

Francis Gane

Francis is an Interactive Systems Design graduate from the University of Manchester who has been producing Dance music, DJ'ing and promoting events for the best part of 10 years. He also helps run Bryn Derwen Recording Studio in North Wales with his father Laurie.

"I've always been an 'ideas' kind of person", says Francis. The concept of Chartburst came to him while pondering the future of the music biz and the problems with todays ways of working. He and Laurie set about refining the idea of Chartburst from late 2011 onwards.

"We see a lot of talented artists come and go at the Studio and always wondered why some of the most talented never seemed to get the big break that they deserved. Chartburst came about as a tool to combat this huge problem by bridging the gap between unsigned musician and record label". - Francis

Laurie Gane

Laurie Gane has been involved in the music industry as both a professional musician (playing with Eric Clapton in the 60's boom of Blues music in London) and Recording Studio owner. Laurie has over 35 years experience of all aspects of music recording and playing and has been instrumental in the coming together of Chartburst.
